Method: assets.insert

  • Inserts an asset with specified metadata, allowing for subsequent ownership and match policy settings.

  • Utilizes an HTTP POST request to https://youtubepartner.googleapis.com/youtube/partner/v1/assets with optional onBehalfOfContentOwner query parameter.

  • Requires an Asset object in the request body and returns a newly created Asset object in the response upon success.

  • Needs authorization with the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtubepartner scope.

Inserts an asset with the specified metadata. After inserting an asset, you can set its ownership data and match policy.

Query parameters

onBehalfOfContentOwner

The onBehalfOfContentOwner parameter identifies the content owner that the user is acting on behalf of. This parameter supports users whose accounts are associated with multiple content owners.

The request body contains an instance of Asset.

Response body

If successful, the response body contains a newly created instance of Asset.
