Featured tab

The Featured tab highlights premium, timely content, and top-tier publishers. It is designed to simplify discovery through a featured carousel and curated bundles categorized by format, region, or audience affinity.

Featured carousel

Located at the top of the Featured tab, the carousel showcases premium publishers, deals, or packages. You can manually navigate or click into these opportunities directly by using the left and right arrows.

Curated bundles

The curated bundles section show collections of packages designed to help advertisers explore relevant content.

Types of curated bundles

  • Deals and packages: Lists of curated inventory that advertisers can assign directly across line items. Advertisers can easily activate biddable inventory based on thematic collections. This directly ties into CTV performance strategies, allowing for one-click bulk assignment of inventory to line items. Curated bundle categories include major events, audiences, and top inventories by devices or formats such as CTV, video, and audio.
  • Publishers: Groups of publishers organized by theme, such as top CTV publishers, audio, and video publishers.
  • Instant deals: A selection of exchanges or publishers where advertisers can buy instant deals. Only one instant deals list is shown in the Featured tab.

Assign curated bundles to line items in bulk

You can streamline your workflow by assigning a curated list to your line items in bulk. By default, the system selects all deals in a list, but you maintain full control to customize your selection.

  1. Select Inventory from the left menu, then select Marketplace.
  2. Go to the Featured tab.
  3. Locate the curated bundle you wish to use and select Bulk assign.
  4. Select any of the following options:
    • Assign to new line item: Use this for the fastest setup. This action automatically carries all packages from the featured list into the creation workflow for a new line item. Select the Assign to new line item option then choose your insertion order. You can then proceed to configure your line item.
    • Assign to existing line item: Use this to scale an active campaign. This adds every deal ID in the featured list to an existing line item in bulk. Select the Assign to existing line item option and choose your target line item, then select Assign.
    • View all items: Use this if you want to review deals or modify the list before activating. All packages are pre-selected by default. You can uncheck any specific packages that don’t fit your campaign goals. After refining your selection, you can proceed to assign only the remaining checked items to a new or existing line item.
Note: Each line item can contain a maximum of 50 packages. You can bulk assign up to 50 packages to new line items. For existing line items, you must deselect some packages if your additional packages cause the total to exceed 50.

Discover tab

The Discover tab allows advertisers to explore and filter through all available publishers, packages, central partner deals, and private deals to find the exact inventory that aligns with their campaign goals.

Considerations

  • When agreeing to a deal, sending an RFP, or assigning a deal from the Marketplace, the list of partners and advertisers is filtered to match your current view level. If you're within the partner level, only the specific partner you’re in and its associated advertisers will appear. If you're within the advertiser level, only the advertiser you’re in will appear.
  • Each line item can contain a maximum of 50 packages. You can bulk assign up to 50 packages to new line items. For existing line items, you must deselect some packages if your additional packages cause the total to exceed 50.

About the unified search experience

Marketplace utilizes an enhanced search functionality, allowing for a more efficient search experience. By going beyond simple names and descriptions, you can easily find the right publisher, package, central partner deal, or private deal for your needs.

Inventory metadata and forecasting data

Unified and intelligent search leverages a broad range of inventory metadata and forecasting data. This allows you to search using details beyond basic names and descriptions, such as:

  • Names and descriptions for publishers, packages, central partner deals, and private deals
  • Google audience segments including detailed affinity categories, for example, “Affinity Categories > Food & Dining > Cooking Enthusiasts”
  • Sites and apps associated with the inventory, such as cnn.com, espn.com
  • Categories of content like "Computer & Electronics"
  • Genres of content like "Action" and "Comedy"

Keyword matching

Based on your search queries, the system will perform keyword matches against the following fields:

  • Publisher, package, central partner deals, or private deal name
  • Publisher or package description
  • Inventory package ID
  • Google audience segments, for example, "Affinity Categories > Food & Dining > Cooking Enthusiasts > 30 Minute Chefs"
  • Sites and apps, such as cnn.com and espn.com
  • Content categories, for example, "Computer & Electronics"
  • Content genres such as "Action" or "Comedy"

Keyword matching is done in multiple ways.

  • Exact and similar match: The keyword must precisely match the field value
  • AND Logic for Multiple Words: When a query contains multiple words, such as "sports fans", the system applies an "AND" logic. This means results will include:
    • Publishers that have "Sports Fans" in their description
    • Packages, central partner deals, and private deals from publishers that have high coverage on a Google audience segment related to "sports enthusiast"

Search prioritization

Search results are prioritized to surface the most relevant options first. This ranking is determined by how closely inventory matches your query across all available details, including Google audiences, content verticals, and genre, combined with the total available impression opportunities to showcase the most impactful options.

Example

If a user is looking to reach "sports lovers" for an upcoming campaign, searching for "sports lovers" will prompt the system to identify relevant inventory. This includes inventory with the maximum scale that reaches Google audiences related to sports enthusiasts, content covering sports (via verticals or genres), and packages, central partner deals, and private deals with "sports" in their name and description. The results are then prioritized to showcase the most relevant and impactful options available.

Filters

You can use filters to refine your search results, making them more specific and relevant to your needs. The results you are shown depend on how filters are used:

  • Filters are used: Results will match both the search query and all active filters.
  • Multiple filters across different categories are used: Results will show options that match all of the active filters.
  • Multiple filter selections within a single category are used: Results will show options matching any of the selected options.

Available filters

The available filters are accessible in the Discover tab in Marketplace, providing a consistent filtering experience across publishers, inventory packages, central partner deals, and private deals.

The following filters are available:

  • Inventory type
  • Google audience segments
  • Sites and apps
  • Categories

Best practices

Keep your initial search query simple

  • Focus on 1-2 keywords. These can relate to names, descriptions, IDs, or broad categories such as Google audience segments, sites or apps, content categories, or content genres.
  • Avoid using multiple categories in a single search query.

Apply filters to efficiently refine search results

Apply filters based on additional criteria like user geography, exchange, format type, and other options not supported for direct search.
