How it works
Creating assets with a prompt is done through a combination of your inputs and Google AI in Asset Studio as well as other entry points, such as during campaign construction.
You can generate assets in Asset Studio using two distinct pathways:
- Standalone Video Creation: Create a single, customized narrative video for your campaign.
- Multi-Asset Project Creation: Generate a full batch of text, image, and video concepts at once from a single prompt.
How to create a standalone video asset
- Go to Asset studio within the Tools menu
.
- Under "Create or edit your videos", find "Create a narrative driven video" and select Create Videos.
- Provide a creative source for your prompt, such as an Ad Group or Landing page URL.
- (Optional) Add a text description or images to tailor the video to your campaign.
- Select Get Started to generate a creative brief.
- (Optional) Select the pencil icon
to modify the brief.
- Select Continue to Narrative.
- Choose a narrative story that fits your campaign, then select Continue to Storyboard.
- (Optional) Select the pencil icon
to adjust the images, prompts, or voice-over script for each scene.
- Select Continue to Review Video to preview your video.
- (Optional) Change the upload destination from your defaulted linked Youtube channel to a video ad storage channel.
- After the video is uploaded, a Youtube URL is provided and you’ll have the option to add the video to an existing or new campaign.
How to create multiple asset types with a prompt
Use this workflow to generate a full batch of text, image, and video concepts simultaneously from a single set of prompts.
- Go to Asset studio within the Tools menu
.
- Locate the prompt box at the top of the page.
- In the prompt box, add one or more of the following inputs into your prompt:
- Text: Describe what you want to create, including your target audience and campaign goals.
- Images: Select the plus button
to add up to 5 product images or images from Asset library. For manually added product images, the AI will maintain product faithfulness, ensuring the physical identity, color, and texture of your product remain accurate in the generated lifestyle scenes.
- Documents: Select the plus button
to upload up to 2 Creative briefs or guidelines (PDF format only).
- Edit guidelines: Select Edit guidelines to review business details, clarify goals or upload up to 2 PDF guidelines. Select Save when finished.
- After you’ve finished adding your inputs, select Create assets.
- Based on your inputs, a project is automatically grouped by conceptual themes:
- Images: 15 distinct images in a mix of aspect ratios (Square 1:1, horizontal 1.91:1, and Vertical 4:5).
- Text: 9 headlines (up to 30 characters), 9 long headlines (up to 90 characters), and 9 descriptions (up to 90 characters).
- Videos: 3 distinct narrative video concepts (select 1 concept to generate into a full video during the refinement step).
- To complete video creation from a concept, select Create Video in one of the suggested narratives.
- Review the generated storyboard and click on the Edit Scene icon
to adjust your video.
- Select Continue to Upload your final video to YouTube.
The project you’ve generated is automatically saved in your history for 55 days before being removed. The next step involves editing and refining the generated assets in your project. You’ll learn how to access your saved projects and the many ways you can make changes to best suit your goals.
How to refine or edit your assets
After your multi-asset project is generated, you can iterate and update your assets before deploying them.
- Go to Asset studio within the Tools menu
.
- In the "For you" tab, select View projects under the prompt box.
- Select the project you’d want to refine.
- Update your assets using any of the following options:
- Refine asset categories: Hover over a text or image category and select Rewrite (to set refinement criteria), Create new (to replace with new assets), or Remove (to delete from the view).
- Manually edit text: Hover over an individual text asset and select the Edit icon
to modify or save changes.
- Update individual assets: Hover over a specific image or text asset to adjust aspect ratios or rework content with prompts.
- Create videos from generated narratives: Select Create video under one of the 3 generated video narrative concepts. Upon selecting it, you can get a more detailed look at the generated video storyboard and have the option to edit scenes. After you’re satisfied, select Continue to upload video to upload the video to Youtube or add to an existing or new campaign.
- Pin favorite assets: Select favorite assets to pin them to the top shelf and protect them from AI updates. Toggle Show selected only to view only pinned assets.
