Benefits
- Automatic sourcing: Google automatically identifies and applies active promotional offers directly from your website.
- Omnichannel impact: Highlights your local deals to encourage both website purchases and physical store visits.
- Verified quality: Advanced verification ensures that only active, non-expired offers are shown to potential customers.
How they work
Google automatically identifies and extracts promotional offers directly from your website. These promotions will show on eligible Search and Performance Max campaigns that have location assets attached (see Local Ad campaigns) and do not currently have manual promotions running. Make sure to keep your website's promotional details up to date, or manually upload specific promotions if you require exact control over what is shown.
Requirements
To be eligible for Automated promotions, your campaigns must meet the following criteria:
- Active Search or Performance Max campaigns with attached Location Assets (including Local Ad campaigns).
- No existing manual promotions currently running on the campaign.
- Compliance with standard Google Ads advertising policies.
Automated promotions campaign compatibility
When you opt in to account-level automated assets, Google automatically identifies and applies active deals directly from your website. Sourced promotions are automatically attached to eligible Search and Performance Max campaigns.
For both campaign types, the automated system will bypass any campaign that currently has manual promotions running. Sourced promotions may serve alongside your ads on Google Search or across Google's broader ad inventory to drive both online and offline conversion. You can manually upload specific promotions if you need to control the exact promotional content (for example, start and end dates).
