Google is processing your product image. This typically takes up to 3 days, but may take up to 30 days. No immediate action is required during normal processing.

Why this issue is happening
Google must crawl and process the image specified in your product data before your products can be fully activated.
- For new products: Your products will remain "Under Review" and won’t show in Shopping ads or free listings until we successfully crawl and process your image.
- For existing products (Image updates): If you updated the image URL for an already approved product, Google will temporarily continue to show your previous approved image. This keeps your product active and serving for up to 30 days while we retry or process the new image.
- Avoid attribute conflicts. Because your previous image will continue to serve for up to 30 days during this processing window, verify that any other product details you recently updated such as color or variant attributes, don’t critically conflict with the older fallback image. If a severe visual mismatch occurs, you should either revert those attribute updates or supply a brand-new image link to force a prioritized crawl.
How to fix the issue
If processing takes longer than 7 days, it may indicate server, firewall, or header configuration issues on your website. Review the following areas to ensure Google can access your images:
- Allow time for crawling. While most updates process within a few days, larger batches may take up to 30 days to crawl new images.
- Avoid URL redirects. Ensure that your image URL links directly to the final image asset. Don’t use redirects or dynamic scripts that may time out.
- Ensure valid image URLs. Ensure that your image URL links lead to a valid image which means they should lead to an actual image and not to a web page.
- Check server errors and CDN configurations. Verify that your server doesn’t return 500-series errors. Ensure your Web Application Firewall (WAF) or CDN allows connections from Googlebot and Googlebot-Image.
- Configure valid HTTP headers. Ensure your server doesn’t output malformed headers or use cache-control restrictions that explicitly prevent Google from caching the image asset.
- Force a recrawl. If you keep the same URL, it can take up to 3 weeks for Google to detect changes. Always change the filename and the URL of the image in your product data to trigger a fresh crawl within 3 days.
If processing takes longer than 30 days (“Your image processing failed”)
To ensure your listings are up to date, Google will continually attempt to crawl and process your new image for up to 30 days.
- How to resolve: Resolve the underlying server or configuration issues, upload the image with a new filename and URL, and update your product data. If the issue persists after verification, contact support for help.
- For existing products (Image updates): If the new image can’t be processed within this 30-day window, we will temporarily pause displaying the previous image and the offer will be disapproved. If your previous image URL is still hosted and crawlable, you can revert the offer back to that image URL in order to trigger a fresh crawl and resume offer serving.
